Where It All Begins

One Rebbe. Thousands of Shluchim. A Single Mission.

Every story on this podcast leads back to the same source — the man on the cover, and the movement he built one couple at a time.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson — the Lubavitcher Rebbe — spent decades doing something no one else in Jewish life had attempted at that scale: sending young couples, often only weeks married, to cities and countries where they knew no one, to open their door to any Jew who walked through it and help them find their way back to Hashem.

He didn't send them as employees carrying out a program. He sent them as shluchim — emissaries entrusted with a piece of his own mission, empowered to build wherever they landed for as long as it took, even when the work meant years of quiet struggle before a single door ever opened.

That model, started from a small office in Brooklyn, is the reason a Chabad house exists today in nearly every country on earth. Frontlines of Lubavitch exists to tell the stories of the people still living out that mission, decades after it began.

About the Podcast

Every shliach has a story the world hasn't heard.

Frontlines of Lubavitch exists to tell it — unfiltered, in their own words, from wherever in the world they've planted a flag for Yiddishkeit.

Global Reach

Conversations recorded with shluchim across five continents — from major capitals to the last Jew in a forgotten outpost.

Unfiltered Stories

The doubts before moving, the moment it clicked, the setbacks nobody talks about — told straight, without the polish.

A Living Record

A growing archive of the Rebbe's shluchim building Yiddishkeit brick by brick, for anyone who wants to understand what shlichus really costs — and gives.

Frontlines of Lubavitch is a new podcast built around one simple belief: the shluchim scattered across the globe are sitting on some of the most remarkable stories in Jewish life today, and almost none of them have been told.

Each episode sits down with a shliach or shlucha — in a small town, a big city, or somewhere in between — to talk honestly about what it actually takes to build a Chabad house from nothing. The fundraising. The isolation. The Friday night table that started with two guests and now feeds forty. The phone call at 2am. The moment a total stranger became family.

This isn't a highlight reel. It's the frontline — real stories, real shlichus, real impact — told by the people living it, for anyone who wants to understand what it really means to go.

A Note From the Founder

Hi, I'm Kayla Wonder — from Melbourne, Australia. During my seminary year in Israel, our trips would take us to meet different shluchim, or to hear from people with incredible shlichus stories, or stories of their own journey back to Yiddishkeit. Along the way I started noticing that so many of these stories had never really been told publicly — and that they had the power to remind people of something easy to forget: that, in some way, we are all shluchim.

This podcast is to inspire us and remind us of the position we are in. As a Jewish person you are given a mission by Hashem (G-d) to uplift the world into a place of holiness. The mission Hashem and the Rebbe gave was not only to official shluchim who have the title of shluchim, rather we all can bring Jews closer to Yiddishkeit (Judaism) one step, one Hebrew letter or one mitzvah at a time.

So welcome to Frontlines of Lubavitch, where you will hear stories you have never heard before from ordinary people just like you, with a mission just like you: to bring Jews closer to Judaism. May we all bring Moshiach (redemption) very soon!

The Idea Behind the Show

Every Jew
a Shliach

שליח — One Who Is Sent

The Rebbe didn't limit the word "shliach" to the couples he sent abroad. His teaching was that the mission belongs to every Jew, wherever they happen to be standing.

"

If you see what needs to be repaired and how to repair it, then you have found a piece of the world Hashem (G-d) has left for you to complete.

Birth is Hashem (G-d) saying you matter.

Jews don't ask "what will be?" We ask "what are we going to do about it?"

Not Every Shliach Wears the Title

Some are the neighbor who started a Friday night table, the co-worker who puts on tefillin every morning, the student who started a class of one. If the Rebbe's teaching holds, their story belongs on this podcast too.

What we're looking for

There's no single "type" of story that fits. We're looking for shluchim with something real to say about what this work actually looks like, day to day.

  • — Any location, any size community, any stage of shlichus
  • — A specific moment, turning point, or challenge you're willing to talk about
  • — Interviews recorded remotely, at your convenience
  • — Full editorial say before anything is published

Thank you for sharing.

We received your story and will be in touch as we build out the interview schedule.
